ESSENTIAL CAREGIVER VISITATION POLICY
POLICY: As required by Florida law, ARROWS SENIOR CARE BY MAJESTIC RESIDENCES’ policy allows a Resident to have visitors from 9:00 a.m. to 9 p.m. at a minimum. At times there may be circumstances which restrict Resident visitation, such as pandemic flu or presence of infectious diseases which may require isolation. In such cases, ARROWS SENIOR CARE BY MAJESTIC RESIDENCES shall comply with all requirements by the CDC, the Florida Department of Health, and Florida Emergency Management.
Florida Statute 408.823 requires additional policies for resident visitation during these circumstances. The visitation policies and procedures required by this statute must allow in-person visitation by Essential Caregivers in all of the following circumstances, unless the resident, client, or patient objects:

Arrows Senior Care Purpose
To establish clear guidelines for safe and compassionate visitation that balance therights of residents to receive visitors with the facility’s responsibility to maintain infection control and protect the health and safety of all residents, staff, and visitors. This policy complies with Florida Statute 408.823 (In-Person Visitation Rights) and Florida Administrative Code 59A-36.

Arrows Senior Care recognizes that visits from family, friends, and other loved ones are vital to the emotional well-being and quality of life of our residents. The facility will ensure that visitation is allowed in all circumstances, including during public health emergencies, while maintaining reasonable infection control practices to safeguard residents and staff.
General Guidelines
Infection Control Procedures
Health ScreeningThe facility does not require visitors to have or show proof ofvaccinations or immunizations; however, we do reserve the right torequest visitors to adhere to the use of PPE and hand hygieneprocedure if necessary.All visitors must self-screen for symptoms of communicable illness (fever,cough, sore throat, vomiting, diarrhea, rash, etc.) prior to entering thefacility.Visitors exhibiting symptoms of infection or recent exposure to contagiousillness may be asked to postpone their visit.
Hand HygieneVisitors must perform hand hygiene upon entering and leaving the facility,and before and after direct contact with a resident.Hand-sanitizer stations will be available throughout the facility.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Visitors may be required to wear masks or other PPE during public healthemergencies or when visiting a resident under transmission-basedprecautions.The facility will provide appropriate PPE when required.
Physical Contact and Social DistancingUnless contraindicated by the residents’ personal physician, there are norestrictions on visitors having contact with residents (such as hugs,holding hands etc.). Sexual behavior is not covered in this policy.Visitors are encouraged to follow staff guidance regarding safe physicalcontact, particularly when infection control precautions are in place.
Resident Care AreasVisits should occur in resident rooms, designated visitation areas, oroutdoors when appropriate.Visitors must not enter other residents’ rooms or restricted areas withoutstaff approval.
Visitor Education
Visitors will receive written and/or verbal information on the following:Hand hygiene techniques.Use of PPE, when applicable.Facility infection control expectations during outbreaks or public healthemergencies.Respecting resident rights, privacy, and care needs.
Educational materials will be posted in common areas and provided atadmission.
